One of these is also like buying a used sportscar. Sure, you can buy one, but parts and maintenance will kill you. :)

There used to be an eye surgeon who would fly from his east coast home to California to teach lasik surgery at Loma Linda. His plane of choice was a T-38.

It's a good thing they're making new engines for the new ME262s. The original engines were only good for 15 hours.

The F-16 is light, nimble, and fast! Love it!

The 2nd Amendment gave us the right to "bear arms". It didn't say the right to "bear guns".

"Arms" include fully armed fighter jets and any other weapons, not just guns.

I want my F-16, fully armed!

Regarding the C-130. Lockheed has always had the civilian version available the L-100.

I've only seen one ME-262. It was at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum in DC. I think I yelped like a schoolgirl when I came around the corner and saw it. And then I had to go full nerd and explain it to everyone I was with, including the Chuck Yeager kill of one. Cool planes. Glad they've been resurrected.

Personally I'd love to fly some of the old prop planes from ww2, but that Me 262 is awesome.

You missed half of the Mig 25 over the Desert story. That plane was pushed way past its limit. The engines were totally destroyed and it had structural damage-from the pilot showing off and disobeying orders. The Egyptian pilot was severely punished. We all know what that means. The 25 still owns some climb records that the 31 hasn't matched, although the 31 obliterated the 25's speed records. Two Mig 31"s eyeballed an American SR-71-it's that fast. But one misleading thing in this video. Yes you can buy these planes. But you can't purchase the missles-that's NOT allowed.

My first deployment we flew into and out of Afghanistan on C130s. The maneuvers that they had to pull to avoid rocket fire were crazy. We went into a near vertical decent when coming into the country and a near vertical climb shortly after take off leaving.

Nice Channel! You are the Vicegrip Garage of Aircraft! BTW I am a Aircraft Mechanic that currently works on Air Force HH-60G Pave Hawks. Spent all my 57 years around Aircraft. My dad was in the Airforce working on F-100, and F-4 jets. I was in the Air Guard for 20 years and worked on RF-4c, and C-130's. I went to work on MH-47 helicopters as well as MH-60's for the Army.

Do any of these come with AMRAM, or AIM 9's? Asking for a friend.

The f16 is definitely my favorite. The hot rod of the sky

Even withstanding that it’s a design that’s over forty years old, the F-16 is still a very formidable air to air adversary.

I never worked on the F-111, but we had several in our test squadron at Eglin back in the 70s. We had a nickname for them, FRED. F__king Ridiculous Economic Disaster. The wing fuel cells were almost always leaking. The swept wings always had some kind of problems. They parked right next to our F4 Phantoms so I heard all of the bitching on a daily basis.
