Was that the wheel buckling or the tyre bead breaking. I broke 2 maxxis beads fitting inserts and it looked exactly like that. The rim was dead nuts true but the tyre would wander off to one side. The bead was seated perfectly all the way round. Just something breaks in the structure of the tyre. Turns out it’s a common maxxis problem and they do warranty it.

That's from a landing of about a ft high, spokes must have been loose as fk and u need more then 15psi in ur tyre too.

this happens from the tire de beading also. If that the rim... pretty weak build.

These cheap WTB Wheels come one a lot of lower spec santa cruz bikes. The Aluminium of the rim is very soft and getting a buckle like that out completely is next to impossible. Might as well replace the Rim, costs about 60€ if you can do the work yourself.
