As a skeptical investor, I have a few questions. First, what determines your proprietary volatility meter’s ranking on any given day? Second, when are you defining the switching between the three different securities being held (I.e. if your proprietary signal goes into a different territory, you immediately sell out of SVXY and buy 100% IAU or GLD?) Third, have you backdated this strategy since the earliest inception of one of the ETF’s? Fourth, If it’s too good to be true it always is, so where exactly is the catch in this strategy? My gut tells me that owning different volatility styles at the wrong time only once can easily wipe out 50%+ of the portfolio value especially if a fat tail black swan event happens when your proprietary volatility signal fails to catch something in the market. Thanks for your response!

This is the real deal. Just how do you determine the when is low mid and high volatility ?

Thanks for explaining this so well.

However, the 'proprietary' part is fishy.

Thanks for your videos!
What are ranges stand for? And what metrics do they derive from?
Is it legit to split VIX index values into corresponding ranges just to understand what range we currently in?

To prosper with these strategies, we are dependent on you for the Volatility Barometer?

How is the 3 signal threshold values computed? especially for the extremely high vol, long VXZ, do you use overall average and have look ahead bias? How do you make sure you don't have look ahead bias?
