Thats a pretty weak case for it not being a re-skin, honestly. Slightly enhanced graphics and ground deformation is the lowest possible standard to qualify FS25 as a new game. What does ground deformation even add to the simulation? I'm not saying it isn't cool, but a feature that supposed to drive sales when the actual farming simulation itself has remained unchanged, essentially? Heck, the simulation from FS22 has even taken a big step back with the lack of precision farming🤷‍♀

The fact that is an actual question being discussed now at all, doesn't say good things about the game. Why is it not a reskin? "Ground deformation." What about improved mechanics? What about overloading potatoes falling off the trailer? What about some mission system? Have they done away with the need to have an 'academy' to understand and play the game for newcomers? Has any work been done?

The engine isn't new, it's just the next generation of it. The engine got an update, saying it is completely new is just wrong even tough I know what you mean.

Ground deformation is just a grid of bool-variables. A car is just as heavy as a full loaded truck. I don`t think it`s a game changing experience for $50.

Never played 22, found this vid while looking up vids to see if it was something i'd like. Just thought it was funny when you said the reason you think its not a reskin is the different visuals and how it looks completely different. That sounds like a reskin lol.

tbh, for $50 USD for a game that really only adds some graphics improvement and terrain changes, it is a bit on the high side, best thing to do is maybe wait until a few free updates come out or a dlc that add some new content to the game, or wait until it goes on sale. This is just me saying this, by all means don't take my advice, nor am I crying or mad. I just think that for the content wise right now it's not worth $50.

Optimization and Depth of simulation is what FS needs above all. They have just about the full breadth of what a person can do when they think of farming. They just need to zoom in and expand on these concepts, specifically animals and productions. Harvesting the trees to run through a mill to craft your own barns is a great step in the right direction.

I think people are most upset by Giants not including a lot of the end-game features that FS22 had. I guess they expected all the FS22 DLC and Expansions to be included by default in the release version of FS25. Like with forestry and animals, going to FS25 over FS22 w/ Platinum Expansion feels like a downgrade in a lot of ways

50 bucks still is AAA pricing. FS25 isn't a AAA game. Simple as that. And the very fact you have to upload a video like this makes the reskin argument even more valid.

I think there's a lot of newer people that are looking at the game as a video game more than a simulator(which is fine you just have to understand what product you're buying), while they are making efforts to make it more welcoming and more worth it for people that want it to be more gamified, the things like ground deformation, better weather, sounds, etc. are all very important for people who want a simulator which is their main target demographic

Seeing graphics as good as those with tractors that appear to drive the exact same doesn't help, I think they've done an incredible job on what they have changed but the apparent lack of change in physics paired with the sheer amount of missing vehicles and equipment is mental

I sincerely hope that at least we get all equipment from fs22 (within reason)

Are you sure you had the correct graphics settings while recording FS22? I swear it never looked that bad.

I don't think they change enough between versions to charge full price for it. That's why I buy every other new release. I skipped FS 22 and stuck with FS 19. Will likely do the same and stick with FS 25 over FS 28 or whatever is the next one in a couple of years.

definetely another reskin, this is what happens when you dont have competition and leave the modders to improve the game. Also I’m curious what is the ‘bunch of stuff” that the new engine can do…. Tornadoes? It certainly isn’t the driving physics.

In my eyes its not worth 49€, there is nothing groundbraking when it coms to gameplay, just some new features and graphical updates. New lights effects at night looks great. Will stick with 22 for now

7:45 it's not the same price. FS22 was €40 at launch, FS25 is €50.

I'm sorry but just because the engine changed to a newer one doesn't mean its a new game. For how successful Fs22 was and how much time it took them to make this one there should be way more then just some graphics. To charge $50 for a graphics overhaul is insane. You can't just add some crops and call it a day. A Modder could do that and they have done that. In my opinion they shouldn't be so worried about making the graphics better. it should be adding more and more content, and later down the line then you update the graphics. And even with better graphics the water looks absolutely terrible, like am I playing a mobile game?
