From the creator of Peaky Blinders comes a series about Hezekiah (Malachi Kirby) and Alec (Francis Lovehall), two friends from Jamaica, who finds themselves thrust into the criminal underbelly of 1880’s London's East End. Here they meet Mary Carr (Erin Doherty), Queen of an all-female criminal gang known as the Forty Elephants, and run afoul of Sugar Goodson (Stephen Graham), criminal kingpin and notorious boxer.

One of the best Guy Ritchie-esque projects I’ve ever seen and he had nothing to do with it! Just finished this criminally overlooked season 1! While I think it would’ve been better as 8 episodes, I’m impressed with what it managed to do in 6 episodes. 8 just would’ve helped with character development. I really loved the period setting, writing, performances, and soundtrack though. Stephen Graham was powerfully electric, Erin Doherty was amazing, and Malachi Kirby was awesome.

The 40 Elephants were a real gang, Stephen Graham character is based on a real guy too I don't think he was a kingpin but he was a boxer. Like how Peaky Blinders underworld where based on real gangs but played fast and loose with history to tell a good story I expect the same here.
