Have always loved British shorthair. Had a blue boy for 18 years. We then got a black silver tabby boy and a blue spotted tortie girl. Sadly we lost the boy to cancer of the liver at aged only 10 :(

Whilst my fave breed I always warn people of one particular BS characteristic. They like cuddles on their own terms. They are not always big lap cats and don't like being picked up too much for too long. If your kids want to cuddle them like a baby they are not the breed for you.
