Nearly 500 killed in Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon | Middle East Tensions

Lebanon's health ministry says that at least 492 people have been killed in Israeli strikes against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.

Israel also said it had carried out an attack on a Hezbollah target in southern Beirut.

Last week, Israel said a new war goal was to push the Iranian-backed Lebanese militant group out of the south of the country, allowing Israelis to return to northern Israel.
