Thanks for the great primer, Ruth.
Maybe it should also be mentioned that "Link Entities from Other Dataflows" option requires a premium-backed workspace (currently, at least). It may save some heartbreaks... 😢 I suppose PPU will make it more accessible to us poor folks, but we don't even know how much THAT is going to cost yet, either... I guess we'll see! 🤞

Is there any way to get the user to be able to add or remove fields from the value section of a matrix? As in, the matrix has GM, Rev, and Cost by year to begin with. Then the viewer could remove GM, Rev, or Cost while within the report? So that they would be left with a report of just GM per year. Maybe toggle each one on or off

Thanks Ruth, what a lovely video. This is what I am looking for. Your "Link entities from other dataflows" intro really opens my eyes. Thanks again. My current dataflow grabs the data from Azure Data Lake Gen1. It allows me to schedule refresh job, but it was failure even I try to manual refresh it on PBI service. Moreover, my users in the same premium workspace also may not be able to connect to this dataflow. I need to check with my IT infra team tomorrow (cross fingers)! Have a nice day. :P

Which is the difference creating a dataflow in the service instead of doing it in PBI Desktop and uploading the model? Are there differences in refreshing options? Can I import data from local folders with the service? Thanks a lot for your answer and good job!

Hi, I'm new to power bi and don't even know how to find the "start creating your dataflow" screen. Or has there been an update and it no longer looks like this/has been renamed?
