On the one hand it bums me out that their are so few of them in the wild currently, on the other hand private collectors can in some cases preserve these species and prevent them from going extinct before preservation efforts can be put into place to protect them.

My local zoo has a breeding pair. I was surprised to see such rare animals in a small zoo. They look beautiful and healthy, truly incredible to see in person.
