I am going down the most amazing YouTube rabbit hole right now

My rabbit hole journey started with "dust in a baggie" and got me here.

Who would have thought that two groups historically treated like dirt, kept poor, and played against each other by their society would have similar themes in their music?

This is like my Atlanta roots met my Georgian Appalachian roots, took one another by the hand, and smiled all the way home.

Most American thing I’ve ever heard in my life

Rap and bluegrass together, like a burger with cheese, doesn't get more American than this folks.

I mostly listen to metal. I like some bluegrass and old country sometimes. Not a lot of rap and hip hop but I still like some. This combination is fucking amazing. Great work. I love it.

My moms heart was broken when I went to prison. This song is a reminder to control my self and keep my hands to myself and behave. One mistake is all it takes to lose your whole life. Jail is all good for nobody. Stay the hell off the streets 🙏

I wanted to hate this as I usually keep my gansta and my grass separate, then I noticed I’m a 47 yr old white guy doing the head bob. I’m digging it

Gangstagrass merges two of the genres most deeply rooted in two of the U.S's most consistently disenfranchised peoples. It's really beautiful

Cultures clash like symbols, not like swords . I came for the music, and stayed for the words. Awesome !

I'm upset that this is 3 years old and I am just now seeing it. An absolute banger. Awesome juxtaposition of genres.

What people don't realize is that this unity is possible each and every day, its up to us to stop listening to the media, politicians and racists..

We all bleed
We all have had pain
We will all die.

This hit me hard. I was in prison and can't go home. This song is magic, brilliant, and it let's me know that someone was able to feel me. This is way to real to just be

THIS is what America is about. If only we could all come together like these folk. God sent us these Gangstas to show us unity. Mad love fellas

For me the best part about this is that even though there's two very different elements being mixed, it doesn't sound like a crossover, it just sounds totally natural and organic. Anyone can smash two contrasting things together, but making it sound like one thing is a lot more special.

Gangstagrass. I love the name. Two genres you think would NEVER come together. But when they do it works beautifully. Both display the pain and struggles of coming up. Just goes to show that we have more in common than not. Stay strong and God bless anyone reading this.
