My mom came to Germany in 1965. My parents worked very hard. They always told me if you make a bad impression, it will go on the account of whole India.

I am 5th generation Indian in Malaysia. We go for pilgrimage in India every year. It's like going back to great grandma, grandpa's house!

I am from Maldives 🇲🇻 and I consider myself as a part Indian owing to the fact that we belong to the same subcontinent. I have worked in many places abroad and realized that foreigners consider me as an Indian and give great respect. I am thankful to India and Indians 🙏

As a Sri Lankan, I can say that India's rise in the past few decades have brought pride to the whole of the sub-continent in general. India, will be a major global power, if not already, in the coming decade.

I am south african. My family is of indian origin. My great grandfather was awadhi he believe vidya (knowledge) is the most important thing in life. He was one of the first indian teachers in south africa. His children became teachers and so did there children. In the 80s my aunty got a job in england, shes an english teacher. Imagine a south african of indian origin teaching english people english. Lots of my cousins and nieces and nephews are also teachers. My other grandfather was a vaidya and all his children ended up in the medical field. Im blessed to have come from a culture that values education. I'm proudly south african but bharat is also my home and holds a special place in heart ❤

Indians are by nature living under the laws of any country. No struggle is raised. Dedicated workers. Trust worthy. These are their strengths.

To all my Indian friends in a foreign country, no matter how much success u would get, never ever forget your roots, ur culture and ur country. Last thing is, always remember every single Indian is an ambassador of India when they land on foreign soil, so never do such work which brings shame to the country. You are the representative of India.

I'd often this this to my American friends and coworkers " Indians are nothing if not adaptable". Adaptability has been Indian diaspora's biggest strength. Moving half way across the world and starting afresh is not as easy as people make it look, but immigrants all over the world do that day-in & day-out. Indians just excel at that and take it to another level

From my own experience, my Indian classmates all have quick minds in class and work part-time jobs for a living, which I immensely admire.

I am from Trinidad and Tobago and there is a large diaspora here with close to half of the population make - up of indian origin. There is also a large segment in Guyana as well as in little pockets throughout the other islands. Our diaspora has achieved a lot across the Caribbean region

The Indian diaspora is one of the best communities out there in the world. They're smart, educated, integrated, successful and yet still connected to the Indian roots which facilities their lives in multiple extra ways, such as marriage, or financial help and support. One of the communities who literally have it all in terms of life/work prospects and quality of life.

It must have hurt a lot for a Economist journalist to say something positive about India.

Surprised you neglected to mention Canada, whose Indian community is huge and enormously successful in business, science and the professions and which Modi has also visited.

I from Nepal and no one can deny Indians are peaceful, funny and happy people with weird idiosyncrasies, they hardly cause trouble anywhere.

Indian-Australian are very hard working people, I say this from my own experience. Have 3 Indian mates in Melb Uni, all of em are studying computer science careers. They almost always choose hard careers and high skilled jobs

Pakistani restaurants overseas call themselves Indian restaurants to attract customers. 😂😂😂 I found this out for myself, when me and my family actually wandered into one here in the states.
