I actually got a funny story to tell. So I’m practicing my drums, right? And a neighbor knocks on my door. He asks me if I’m the one playing the drums. “Oh great, here we go. He’s gonna threaten to call the cops on me.” So I said yes, and I was very sorry. I’ll keep it down as best I can. But, it turns out he didn’t come to my house to threaten to call the cops on me. In fact, he was a drummer himself, and he gave me a rudiments It was so cool!!!! Just goes to prove that not everyone is an asshole.

Funny thing is, yesterday, my neighbours asked if i'm still drumming, i took a week break, and asked when i'll be playing again. They're quite supportive. I'm very Lucky.

My neighbor is a lovely old lady and she said when she hears me play they come out to their garden with her granddaughter to dance

O h I have soo many neighbor stories. One neighbor flagged me down while I was driving home from work last week to tell me I was getting a lot better!
Another neighbor across the street laughed at me and said I sounded like a three year old banging pots, so next time I saw him and his wife having cocktails on their roof top deck I brought my whole kit out onto my driveway to treat them to a special concert!

I had a downstairs neighbor that told me they could hear me practicing. I gave them my phone number and told them to call anytime it bothered them, and they seemed pretty cool, even said they wouldn't ask me to stop playing.
Next thing I know I'm getting official notices from the landlord over their complaints. They gave the landlord the impression that I was out of work and just playing all day even though I was working full time, practicing about an hour a day. What a stab in the back.
Turns out they were going through a divorce, he was OK, but she was not.

I only have one neighbor who complains about pad noise. I told her to tell me again if it really bothers her and I'll be glad to bring a full acoustic kit to the apartment. She hasn't said a word since. I guess she grew fond of the rhythmic tapping.

Ugh I shared a house while in University with a bunch of guys. One guy decided that playing his electric drums in the basement in the middle of the night wouldn’t disturb us. I disagree.

Dude it’s so Fucking true!!!! Lolzzzz. Everytime I play there’s always a riff in my head going along with it. I don’t really have any funny stories besides neighbors calling the cops 3 or 4 times. Being a drummer in an apartment complex is rough
