omg so cute. I gave my chins cheerios once, they immediately ran for the water bottle and started shoving over who got to drink! Figured it wasn't their favorite snack.

CHEERIOS ARE NOT A SUITABLE SNACK, same goes for an excess of raisins, trail mix, popcorn, etc, can damage a chinchilla's digestive tract.

From personal experience: recommended that chinchillas receive no more than 2 raisins a week, no dried strawberries/bananas, ABSOLUTELY NO COLORED WOOD BLOCKS. Chinchilla's are very delicate creatures and should be cared for properly. I use Oxbow veggie treats and barley biscuits as treats instead. They are both much healthier, and enjoyable for chinchillas.
