You have rightly covered all the major issues that we as women need to rectify. Im proud of my identity and I wouldn't want to lose it for anyone as you said. This video was much needed.Thank you Sherry!! ❤️

I so so agree with you. Just want to add one thing... Try to live alone away from family and friends, may be for a short period of time. But, that really makes a huge change in perspective and attitude and makes you really responsible.
Also, I know a lot of my friends who were so bright in school, but are somehow lost today. I feel very sad 😞. But, they have to pull themselves out of it, to be able to stand on their own. I am sharing this with my friends. Hope this helps. Thanks for making this. Happy Independence Day 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

I love this so much. This year I took a decision to move to a different city. Though my brothers moved with me too but being away from parents, home, friends was too much. cooking my own food, travelling alone when comimg home, travelling in mumbai locals was all too much to take and all that made me rethink my decision. I was so unsure as to why I decided to do it. it was a simple diploma in Fashion Design I could have done it in my own city. But this video reminded me of why I did this, why I tore my comfort zone apart and stepped into an area of discomfort and why I will continue to do so-to grow, to be independent, to love myself and value who I am. Thank you so much for reminding me of these things that I had forgotten in the hustle bustle of this new life. I am so glad I took this step and now I have the motivation to stick to it. lots of love sherry.

Hi sherry. U looking so good. And feel so good about myself that I like you cause you are not that typical Beauty blogger who just tells about lipsticks and mascara. You are motivational source. Thank you for being a full model to me.

before I watched this video I always thought you are a very rich girl and that is why you can shop so much. but now I know you are a mature independent and a strong woman...

I'm your fan now. It feels good to have a small world of your own. No matter how small it is. 😃

I feel really proud to say that I have already done all that you have said. I've been quite independent since I was 17-18 years old and continue to be so. Our thoughts are at par even though we have a few years of age difference and I love that!
P.S. I think everyone should take the advices positively. It's a boon to be advised all this. Thank you for making this video for the ones who really need to hear this! XO

These type of videos are required more than beauty videos because beauty is not what you see from outside but it something that comes from the inner person inside you who is beautifully strong and good hearted!
Dear Scherezade Shroff, this is the best video of you for me. Hats off to the good work you are doing!
Love you!

I used to be a lot dependent while I was working. I got married a year and a half back and then after half year of getting married I left my job though I didn't want to but i was influenced by all to leave my job, as my job was in chennai and my husband, his family, his job, my family were in delhi and we tried staying away for 6 months but it did not suite my husband that we stay apart for work and he wanted me to leave my job and search for another in delhi, at the same time he did not want to leave his job and come to another city. As expected, its been 1yr since I left my job and still searching. After seeing your video I felt that yes, lately I have been depending more and more on my husband whether its for finances or going out for shopping or deciding on what to wear. I was never like this before. May be the main reason behind all this is the financial dependence. A women first needs to be financially independent in order to be independent.
Loved your video Sherry👍😘

I've started watching all the Indian vloggers only for the last 2 months and I really liked them, until I saw this. That was all so pointless. Thank you for this. Very inspiring. ❤️

brilliant advice!
Totally agree that a woman should have her own bank account and know how it works!

Proud of you for putting forward these points, I definitely agree with each one of these! I think the identity part hit the home. Kudos for choosing such a different topic. 🙌

loved this video♥
just wanted to add another point...
most importantly I think we must speak out if something is blocking our goals. you shouldn't just sit and crib, get up and raise your voice if something doesn't agree with your standards. and don't care what society or anyone around will think of you. at the end of the day you shouldn't regret not doing something because you couldn't raise a voice. people will talk and critique, put your head up high and walk.:)

A very helpful video... I have the same views too ( esp. the part where you said how it saddens you to see women losing their spark as time passes etc.), thank you for bringing this up! You were absolutely right about every thing you said :)

I love, each and every video of yours. Topic like these needs to be addressed and speak about. I am really happy to see that you did this video. Way to go girl!

Very timely and much-needed video, Sherry! I'm older than you and learned much of this through life experiences. But I was super happy to see a role model like you take a stand on these issues, particularly since I'm guessing most of your subscriber base is teens and women in their early twenties. I sure wish I had someone to make these points explicit to me when I was younger. :) I am even happier to see that you didn't get much negative backlash on your content. Was scared you would get the kind of feedback that most women in India who speak their mind do, but so glad you didn't. Here's to the changing and empowered Indian woman! <3
