Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) - 'I'm Home' (Sycamore Gap) scene [1080p]

The music that made this film so famous was mostly the ballad by composer Michael Kamen and singer Bryan Adams, but Kamen also composed a rich and rousing score, which features prominently throughout the (long) film. The main theme is a perfect piece of moviemusic, and it gets a concert presentation over the main titles. In this scene, as the prologue ends, we hear it again as Robin arrives home from the crusades. This music ends the lengthy opening track on the original soundtrack.

RIP to the iconic Sycamore Gap tree featured here in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves! I genuinely wanted to visit this beautiful tree one day. So sad that it was felled by some random fool. At least its iconic imagery is forever preserved on film.

Robin Hood Prince of Thieves was what movies are supposed to be: entertaining, evocative, and inspiring. It had heart, swagger, and stirred the soul. Not to mention one of the greatest soundtracks around. I'll take this every time over what is produced now: mostly soulless drivel that is made by committees rather than a filmmaker's vision. When's the last time something came out that truly made you feel a part of a grand & noble adventure?
