SQL/400 Tutorial

This course discusses the basics of SQL/400, and the associated functions, objects and data types. It includes a detailed discussion of DDL (Data Definition Language) along with an explanation of how to create Collection, Index, and Views. The discussion on DML (Data Manipulation Language) talks about the data retrieval and update capabilities using the Select, Insert into and Update commands. The course also talks about the Commit and Rollback commands and file locking. The discussion on Embedded SQL explains how SQL/400 statements can be embedded in high level languages like RPG/400 and COBOL/400. The course also talks about cursor manipulation and dynamic SQL.
