I visited the US a few months ago. I saw a man trying to load many chairs into his car, so i decided to help him. After finishing loading the chair, he apologetically said he could have given me money if he has some with him while trying to check his pockets, just because i was helping him. I was surprised because back in my home country, its normal to help others without expecting anything in return, and if i get paid by helping, its not helping at all.

This is absolutely true. Tips are expected everywhere for anything now even when you serve yourself and bust your own table and get your own food.

Sooo true man, the tipping culture of USA is of course very tiring and many people even get angry on you for not tipping. Hell, some people even get angry when you like dont say 'Thank you' or 'Sorry' or 'Have a nice day'

Like the fact that she expects her to say or do something nice back is so real 😭

Edit: thanks for all the likes! I wish I had that many on my vids. I think I started a war in the replies 💀

When an Indian pointed out this thing everyone made a big fuss about it and started making hate racist cmnts.. but when a white girl did same thing everyone is okay with it... Hypocrites

Earlier, people used to give tips willingly and voluntarily, but nowadays, people give tips out of compulsion. What was once a reason for happiness has now become a source of sorrow... 😢😓😕😕

In my country, tipping isn't compulsory. We tip when we receive a stellar service. This makes the customers express genuine appreciation and make the waiters provide better experience for their customers. We don't have entitled waiters here running after you if "you forgot to tip"

As a Muslim & Arab.. We complement each others most of the time, we say nice words like "oh you look good today, your clothes are nice, you smell so good, you look cute, your hair looks great, etc.." . And even when we see a stranger, and we made eye contact with them, we smile to him/her, then avert our gaze "we can't stare at each other's if it's someone from the other gender". Smiling is something that most of Muslims do, because it's sunnah ( sunnah= our prophet Mohammed peace upon him, was doing it, and he told us to do so).

Unlike America, tips is something rare in Arab countries, u can just give it if you want, but usually no one asks for tips.

This is one aspect of America that deserves to be clowned on I have no idea how it happened but everyone expects a tip now, not just servers. It’s rediculous and somehow if you don’t let them basically rob you for extra money you’re the bad guy. Insane. More then that what about the homeless Guy outside I bet your tip would help him way more then this McDonald’s drive thru worker who hates his job.
