I have had an eventful past two weeks of exploring my new city and this country a bit! I thought I would share the first experiences I have had with culture shock. This will most likely be an ongoing mini series throughout my time abroad. :) Enjoy.

It's easier than you think.
You just have to know what to look for:
First there is the Green dot symbol:
If it's on it then it goes into recyclable bin.
If it rots, it goes into the organics.
If it has something on it saying 'Pfand...' or Mehrweg, you can bring the container back to the shop to get some money back.
Glass goes to the glass bin
Paper goes to the Paper bin
The rest goes into the 'Restmüll' bin (Restmüll = remaining trash)
That pretty much cover all possibilities.
P.S.
Not every town has every bin listed here, most have only 2 or 3 different.
