Grandma had a board. My Mom wasn't comfortable with it and avoided it. When she became married and started her own family, Mom refused to allow a board into her home. When I was old enough to understand, Mom had a talk with me about it. She told me about her childhood and that her mother had played with it with friends. Mom made it very clear to me that she would never mess with it, that it wasn't allowed in her home, and that I was not to have anything to do with it. She strongly emphasized that, instead of giving into peer pressure to treat it like a party game, I was to stay away from it, and to not allow those individuals into my inner circle of trusted friends. She made it clear that one should never invite evil into our lives. She also warned about the psychics, and that not all spirits are good spirits, and that many bad spirits pretend to be goid ones. I was to have nothing to do with any of it.

Looking back over the decades, Mom was right. My life has it's ups and downs. But many of those friends from those childhood interactions ended up being the ones that were constantly making self-destructive decisions. They were also part of the groups that appeared to be part of the in-crowd while experimenting early and often with alcohol and drugs. I prefer the clean life that had a lot more peace. Never underestimate the value of peace.

When I was about 8 or so, one of my friends brought a Ouija board over to our house. My mom had a cow. She was very nice but very stern that he was not allowed to bring that board back to our house.

I was once in a small chapel, it was deliverance Sunday, well, my English teacher invited me, she said it was just short prayers after Mass. I saw a lady levitate, and she vomited a long knife. ... I will never go there again. I was 16....this was more of a sword than a knife. The priests were so calm, like it's just every day normal life. The grown ups were just praying the rosary like a cool rosary session.

When I was at boarding school a kid messed around with these boards, next morning ambulances and a school assembly was called. That kid woke up with “ HAHAHA” carved onto his chest by what looks like a compass used in maths class.

Scared the living shit out of all of us. Priests had to be called to check every single one of our rooms for anything evil.

My brief encounters with Ouji boards resulted in my knowing I will NEVER be near one again. Bad stuff without question.

You can hear many stories of soldiers messing with those “boards” on military bases and some of the consequences that followed, not to be messed with.
