You have to give credit to Indonesia they have come a long way in the past 4 years but we capitalised on our chances which is good to see.

Well done to the Indonesia lads! Young side, with a lot to learn and experience still as they build a team that can challenge in the future. Great experience for them to be at the cup so young, and they will reap the reward in future tournaments. They were a credit to their country, played hard and kept trying all the way to the final whistle.

am just wanna say thank to you Aussie... for Giving a very meaningful lesson to our Young Players... we will be waiting for you again at the Asian Cup U23 next a few month later with almost the same Player Composition bc 80% of our Players are still under 23 years old. i hope i can achieve victory here

Indonesia look a very exciting team, a number of young players already playing in England and the Eredivisie who should have long careers ahead of them. As one of our regional neighbours, will be keeping a keen eye on them in years to come. Perhaps we might see some Indonesian players coming to the A League as well

As both Indonesian & Australian, I'm happy if either won. I have to give credit to Garuda for coming so far. Even though mainly thanks to the naturalised players but at the end of the day, they deserve the credit. Now to the Socceroos, I wish you all the best for the next round

Indonesia were a threat, and on another day they may have won. As for the commentators saying the performance won't strike fear into South Korea or Saudia Arabia, most professional outfits and national teams would be wary of a team that can play poorly and still find a way to win day-in and day-out, let alone 4-0. You could say it was a flattering scoreline, but teams that manage to find a way so consistently are always a threat for trophies. The danger is that knockout stages aren't forgiving of that once off loss.
All respect given to Indonesia though- keep this squad together for a couple more years with the same system and development as a group and they could go deeper than round of 16.

I entered here because as a Balinese Indonesian who has many Australian friends, this match made me very interested.
