Hey Bobby,
Just an FYI for the next time you're in Korea: "Dosirak, " while it can refer to the bento-type boxes you mention, translates to "lunchbox." So moms will pack their kids a "lunch" or "dosirak." That's why the lady you bought the fish cakes from made you a to-go fishcake meal with the little bowl and stuff. It can be used both ways, hence the confusion. The two guys you chatted with just knew which one you were referring to.
