I have looked into almost every small or computer that has a screen size under 13 in. and computing power based on $$. anything under 1000$, I've looked at at least 80% of all of them. By far the most for the dollar is Asus! Comparative for features, computing power, great screen, style, variety of O.S. that are available, Asus is the winner hands down! I just ordered an Asus TF701T-B1-GR. I had a transformer 100 pad and loved it a lot. I have wanted another one all along, so why not get the best. A fairy good price is 399.00 +158.00 is $557.00 total I paid. I can't wait!!!

I have bought & returned 5 tablets in the last 2 months, finally the wait is over, the decision has been made. Asus TF701 is in my opinion the tablet to have. Previous hardware included Nexus 7 32GB LTE, was nice but too small. Not much bigger than my smartphone. Then I tried the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition, it was great, but after a few days I found I wasn't using it to it's potential, and did not use the S-pen. I then tried the Asus TF700, found it to be sluggish and the screen resolution not as sharp. I did know that going into it, but still had to give it a chance. Next I tried the Lenovo S6000, this tablet was not too bad, but it to was a little sluggish, noticed that the power supply got really hot and that was a concern (long term). I then went back to the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition, kept it for 4 weeks, started to really like it, the screen res. is sweet, it every now and then would 'stutter' wondered why the 3GB of RAM would be taxed out around 80%. Was not even running all that many apps. No game playing, and also wondered if the LTE model processor Snap Dragon 800 would have been a better match as oppose to the Octa-core Samsung chips that were in this one. Started considering the price point $550.00 on sale for the 32BG model, and that the S-pen still had some occasional issue like it's predecessor. I kept hearing about the Asus TF701, but it was for a while sold out at Best Buy. For a price of 399.99 on sale and very similar specs, it would make sense to try it. I actually pick it up on Friday 12/27/2013 but I already know it will be the best of what I've had to work with, knowing there is no such thing as the perfect tablet, it should be closet to it.

The 701 camera is 5mp compared to the 8 mp camera with flash on the 700. Asus is downgrading their tablets, The 701 dock is plastic compared to 700 metal dock
. Also the screen is a lot dimmer than the 700

Got a TF701 for christmas and I'm getting the incredibly-irritating brightness-flickering issue even with the 4.3 update. Exchanging it tomorrow to see if I get better luck, though from what I've heard rooting the tablet is the only guaranteed fix atm. Between that and the oft-cited docking issues I'm a little disappointed, though I mainly wanted it just to have something travel-friendly for movies and internet so it mostly delivers.

What a stupid place for the 3.5mm audio jack. its placed where i place my left hand for holding the tablet in landscape mode. I really wanted to buy this tablet but that placement of the 3.5mm jack is gonna annoy the crap out of me.

Do you find any issues with the brightness?? I was hoping for a 10 inch tablet with the brightness of the new nexus 7.. how does this compare?
