ESPN's Woke Award Has Gotten Out of Hand

ESPN, the worldwide leader in lies, seems rather determined to redefine and lower the standard for what constitutes courage. At its annual ESPY Awards, ESPN bestowed the Arthur Ashe Courage Award on the spoiled, greedy, and delusional soccer squad. The Disney-owned sports network labeled the U.S. women’s national soccer team as courageous for its highly effective propaganda campaign to elevate player salaries. Last night’s ESPYs were a low point for the Arthur Ashe Award. Courage ain’t what it used to be.

I grew up in the Detroit area which has a huge professional and semiprofessional sports presence. I spent 13 years in the military from 1991 to 2004 and lived in other countries and states. I live in the Boise Idaho area since exiting the military. Until the last month or so, I NEVER saw a commercial on television for the WNBA or other women's "professional" sports in any state or country that I lived in, but now I see commercials on the WNBA and we don't have any professional sports teams in Idaho (closest pro team would be Utah Jazz). Why is that?!? Because the pandering and propaganda is being pushed everywhere!

This argument comes from the wage gap myth.
What is the gender wage gap? The gender wage gap refers to the difference in earnings between women and men. Experts have calculated this gap in a multitude of ways, but the varying calculations point to a consensus: Women consistently earn less than men, and the gap is wider for most women of color.

It doesn't take into account the verious in jobs and careers which require different levels of skills the pay is based on.
Nor does it take into account the hours worked regular or overtime which effects the pay.
Also the fact that there are a lot less women working than there are men working.

It's almost as if women aren't required to work to survive as men do in society.

These female athletes were arguing for equal outcomes in the competitive free market that have a set pay base on revenue.
They are not as good as the men and so they won't attract as many attendance as the men's.
The key component for sports leagues' pay is the attendance the costumers.

We all know all jobs or careers aren't equal and so their pay is not and shouldn't be equal.

Whenever any of these disingenuous people referred to making pay equal that's what they desire equal outcomes regardless of any differences that would deny them such a result.

The problem with equal outcome

Equality of outcome disincentivizes hard work and incentivizes slacking. If we are all going to end up in the same place, then why should I work any harder than you? Why should I study? Why should I seek out and evaluate investment opportunities?

equal opportunity, also called equality of opportunity, in political theory,  the idea that people ought to be able to compete on equal terms, or on a “level playing field, ” for advantaged offices and positions.

The free market promotes choice, equality of opportunity and merit. It is a system that operates at best in a free society, while promoting ideals of freedom in an oppressed one.

Free markets are characterized by limited government control. An example is a tour company that is free to choose its prefered destinations, target market, and pricing strategy.
