Lego designer: “We gave C-3PO his silver leg by mistake... should we redo him?”

Lego Exec: “Nah... it’ll be fine, no one will notice”

Jhae: 👀👀👀

“I’m not trying to over react” proceeds to overreact about the smallest things

I was amazed when he said C-3PO hasn't appeared in any prequel or sequel set. I have been collecting LEGO Star Wars for the past 10 years and i've never noticed this!

Jhae I nominate you to work at LEGO as the Star Wars Minifigure coordinator.

Also on C3PO, it should of had the dual molded silver leg in the recent UCS Tantive IV set

The polybag c-3po is the most detailed c-3po minifigure that the ever made.

Oh, that was C3-PO in the polybag? I didn't recognise him because of his red arm.

I 100% noticed that Bespin Leia didn't have a unique hair mold and It did/does bother me. I think the padme hair mold in the new anakin's pod racer would have been a great choice.

Personally I think minifigures, for the most part, are really good. Sometimes, they don't include all the important detials. However, sets nowadays are fairly bland and feel really cheap.

Lego is such a big company, so they almost cant make these mistakes... Its a shame and sometimes really weird.

For the sequel C-3PO, they could have used the legs from the red arm poly bag (although then there would be side leg printing so that might not work so well). Either way, they have the design for the front of the legs without the silver. It exists, but they didn’t put it on this guy

I generally agree. I can understand, for instance, using an X-wing pilot body, because the details in the costume are so minute. However, Lego skips over extremely easy fixes. They simply need to give the Snowspeeder pilots (no matter which body they use) white hands.

As far as hair pieces and dual-molded details, it seems odd that they don't include those, especially for Star Wars sets. Star Wars seems to still be one of their best-selling lines, particularly with collectors. So it would make sense for them to want to add additional details like that in those sets. You could argue that including dual-molded arms or legs is an extra cost, but they've used those in other themes, often skipping Star Wars. Hair pieces again could be argued as a cost issue, but they've obviously spent the money in other instances (like the Solo set mentioned).

My big complaint, though, is the use of solid colored appendages on characters that obviously don't match. For example, Bossk should have dual-molded arms and legs (yellow on top, green on the bottom). Rey should at the very least, have dual-molded arms with flesh on the top (shoulder) and grey/white on the bottom... etc, etc

I really think they probably just don't know Star Wars as well as you do

SW minifigs always hold back so they can improve them later, compare to TLM2 minifig sets most of them have dual mold arm of leg/ arm print but seldom appear in SW minifigs

Great video! The one that stands out to me as being lazy is the rank plaque on Thrawn. They just used the Krennic one and not the proper rank.

Completely agree, although I didn't even notice on anything you mentioned.

I definitely feel like LEGO creates a significantly higher amount of incredible figures than not. These issues are problematic but for the most part, I am astonished every time I get a new set. The Mando AT-ST Raider set had some bomb figures and that will always win over for me, personally.
