Apologies folks. We would change the value of the load resistor to give us different values for the graph of current and load potential difference.

Exactly what I hate about physics professors. Either they waffle on all pointless details, or they give you some abstract theory and show no workings. Wouldn't it be great if there were physics professors would would give short concise information and show an example?

What are you varying here in order to get enough values to plot a graph? How will you get different values for VR if the V of the cell is fixed? Surely it will be constant?
