Detroit pastor thanks Trump for visiting as Biden, Obama who ‘never came’ attend LA fundraiser

Former President Trump attended a roundtable discussion at a church in Detroit on Saturday afternoon in an effort to reach out to Black voters.

During the discussion, 180 Church Pastor Lorenzo Sewell told Trump that he was “humbled” by the former president’s visit.

“President Obama never came to the ’hood, so-to-speak, right? President Joe Biden, he went to the big NAACP dinner, but he never came to the ’hood. So thank you,” Sewell said, eliciting applause from the audience.

Later Saturday, Trump appeared at the “People’s Convention” of Turning Point Action.

i hope someone soon addresses the issues they have in Detroit. first, jobs, then crimes, and the water isn't fit for a rodent to drink. someone needs to step up to cities like Detroit, Chicago, Phili. and more large cities. the crime is horrible, gangs, drugs. and for Gods sake make America safe again. time to shake the political tree and get these polititions off their behinds and do something beside campaigning for their own benifit. i am fed up with nothing getting done except more regulations and laws to control American's, when the country is beginning to look like a third world country. the president all the way down to the mayor..the governors, the state representives..each and everyone of them needs to WAKE UP get to work for the people.

It was a total scam. He rented out the church and staged the whole thing. Just like he did at the auto workers plant, at Chick Filet, in Washington and at the Bronx. He also waves at non-existent people and tells everybody food for everybody and then doesn’t pay

What a faulty conclusion. Someone is better than someone else simply because they showed up? If you outline the beliefs on paper side-by-side, whether someone paid you a visit or not has no bearing on the merit of their policy and strategy. It is unfortunate. The pastor feels this way. Just because someone knocks on my door doesn’t mean I will support them more than someone else that does things a better way.
