The Housekeeper and the Professor, amazing find indeed! It really represents the best of what modern Japanese literature has to offer in my opinion. I wanted to suggest another one of her books with similar themes but I couldn't find it in English on Goodreads (I read it in French) sadly! The Japanese-to-English translation would be something like "Swim with an Elephant, Embracing a Cat" and it's absolutely beautiful.

I love this channel because some book tubers are very loud and a little much but this channel is so laid back and the books are actually interesting! So good ❤️ (not to bash on any other people but yeah)

I wish my TBR was that small! :) I really enjoyed the way you did this. I have Americanah on my TBR too and have not read it yet for the same reason you give. It is her only book I haven't read and I just want to know there is another on the way!

I’ve read two books by Lisa Jewell, the family upstairs and watching you. Both 4 star ratings from me. I now want to read her other books.

Bookworm is beautiful on the outside and nostalgic, but I didn’t always get the UK references and did not mesh with her sense of humour. It’s an easy read too so you might enjoy it more than I did.

You should look up Barbara Newhall Follett! Her life was really interesting and she went missing after she got married. There's many true crime videos about her here on YouTube.
