Two notes Torpedo Captor X - Reactive Load Attenuator & IR Loader

Показать описание

Controlling the Captor X and accessing all of its hardware is easy with the Torpedo Remote software with a computer/USB connection or mobile/Bluetooth. The virtual cabinets use Two notes Dyn-IRs which allow continuous control over two selectable microphones (condenser, ribbon and dynamic). Variable distance and axis plus rear cab miking can be mixed in any combination while algorithms place them in natural environments such as rooms and cathedrals, not to mention classic studio reverbs like spring and plate. 3 stereo modes allow maximum versatility live or in the studio with stereo, dual mono and wet/dry if you want to swap and adjust IRs at a later date in your DAW.
Other benefits of onboard DSP are final touches like a 5-band EQ for the virtual cabs, Enhancer to put the finishing touch on your tone and dynamics plus Twintracker for classic stereo doubling effect that would normally require a second overdub. There’s even a noise gate and tuner to complete the package. To help keep it simple, your top 6 Presets can be recalled without software from the front while the Voicing knob fine-tunes their mids and Space knob easily adapts to different sized venues.

I find myself returning to this video over and over.... I'm not gonna lie and try to pretend it's about the product, because I know about that already, but.... that Les Paul is beautiful ❤

Whenever I'm in doubt about gear I need,
Andy's happy smiling face at 9:38 makes it obvious now.
And there's a harmony in my head, there's a harmony in my head!
Great review, and great riff, thank you.

Really a nice invention in this box, for me simply one of the bests IR and attenuator.
Otherwise great video as usual Andy =p

I just noticed Andy was not using a pick for that intro. Yet another layer to his always impressive playing an ability. What a great guy too.

Great demo! Thanks Andy! If I didn’t have one already, I would buy one again. Love my captor x!

Next to my vintage Gibson, this is the best piece of gear I have ever purchased.

Fantastic video as always, Andy! The Captor X seems like an incredibly useful piece of gear! I love how Two Notes packed so much into such a compact size and a great price!

Thank you for demoing the attenuation, haven't been able to find reviews until I got to your one. I want to be able to mic up my tube amps without waking up the neighbors, I think that will do the trick. Thanks!

Super cool stuff. I mean these things are under 200 notes. Mental.

I'm watching this for largely confirmation bias as I just bought one, and its Great Andy Content (tm) for 9:30 and then Buzzcocks comes out of nowhere??!!? A+ buried jam, my man. Can't wait to run this thing through its paces.

I have one and it is the best technology made! Waiting for their new DynIR technology coming soon this month!

I really like the Captor X. I use the attenuation function more than the IR features, especially for recording. The IR cabinets sound decent, but I find they lack the presence and clarity as a mic’d cab with my attenuated amp - that’s my experience at least. Andy seems to have the Midas touch when it comes to dialing in tones though. 👍🏻
