Hey guys, I’m Rabea. I'm the lead guitarist in Toska, Frog Leap & Dorje where I write music, make songs and have a great time with my mates. I also have my own line of guitars with Chapman Guitars, and I’ve designed numerous products with some really cool companies, such as the Victory Amps VX Kraken. Anyway, i hope you enjoy my videos, thank you for watching!

Tones start at 10:00

Thanks for watching guys. This is one of the most useful products I’ve come across in many years!

11:09 That twin-tracker width is great! Explanation - if you send exactly the same signal to your left ear and right ear there will be no stereo effect. Entropy sort of means randomness. That means the twin tracker is making lots of tiny random time variations to the left and right signals so that you don't hear things at exactly the same time in the left and right ear. The effect is to make it seem to your ears like the sound is coming from different places. It isn't the notes that is important. It is the timing. A note that arrives at your left ear a fraction of a millisecond after arriving at your right ear sounds like it is over there (points to the far right corner of bedroom). Cool demo, Bea.

Stumbled across this older video when looking for attenuator and DAMN, your tone was killer in this video. This Captor X looks sweet.

I am so loving my new Captor X. I was ready to get rid of my Marshall DSL40c as I could just never enjoy the tone. Even at the intolerable volume level that everyone knows a tube amp needs to be at, I just didn't care for it. I even replaced the 70/80 stock speaker with a Creamback and it was a little better, but it was never inspiring to play. That has all changed now that I'm sending it through the Captor X. I even love the clean channel now!!

Love my original Captor, I use it nearly every day. Glad to see they're added the ability to load your own IR's - its now pretty much perfect for live use.

I sit here 12 seconds into the video, composing my final will & testament, as my life is being crushed by that immense tone. Holy fucking shit, Rabea. That shit's NASTY in the best way possible!

Great review. I am mainly looking to get a load box for re-amping and then mixing in my studio. Would you still recommend this or the original Captor? Thanks!

I was eyeing one up as I love my tube amps, but can't make lots of noise. You know, same old, same old. After this review I'm sold. Thanks for the great review Rabea!

I’ve been holding off on these load boxes/cab sims for a loooong time. I’m afraid this one is gonna get me.

The captor x absorbs energy from the power amp. That energy has to go somewhere so it's dispersed in the form of heat. That's why you hear the fan kick on during playing. You can literally hear it rev up with every chug. It's necessary for the unit to be able to absorb the power without burning out components.

Great demo Rabea; just long enough! I just got my Captor X yesterday! Is this your signal chain:
Guitar>Pedal Board>Amp>Captor X>UA Apollo Twin X>Mac>Powered Monitors?
What monitors are you using? Thanks! ~Robert

The Entropy Control simulates the "sway" or flange of dual tape heads to Reel. A Doubling, width, or thickness control if you will.
