This video is an overview of the Valorant Game Changers Championship that happened in Berlin last week, including teams like G2 Gozen, Cloud9 White, Team Liquid Brazil and FENNEL, and players like mimi, katsumi, bob, mel, sonder and festival. Maybe these players will compete in Valorant Franchising, along with teams such as Sentinels, C9, LOUD, Global Esports, Paper Rex, ZETA Division, 100T and many more!

Editing this comment to answer a common question: why is there a female league, if there are no physical differences between men/women that should affect performance in esports?

The purpose of Game Changers is to create high-level completion for not only women, but all marginalized genders. Playing video games when you're young is much more normal for men than women, which results in an environment where other genders are looked down upon simply for playing (just take a look at some of these comments, or the comms in your ranked games). The level of play isn't always as high in Game Changers as it is in the main VCT circuit, yes, but the point of it existing is to give all genders top-level experience - so eventually the level of play does rise, and we won't need a separate GC scene. I hope this makes sense, and gives some more insight into why GC exists. If you've read this comment and still insist there's 'no point watching', I truly am sorry that you've missed out on a great tournament.

I felt so bad for Sonder on breeze in the grand finals- while she’s usually insane, she literally couldn’t hit a single shot

SR is a young roster and not having their coach to call timeouts and reset their mental at the right times was so detrimental

Im so glad this isn't a toxic video towards all female esports man. I really appreciate the respect you're giving the female talent and work you put into this video

I'm really amazed at how much Valorant has managed to contribute towards the female esports scene and the overall female gamer population in general. It's funny how "gamer girls" were so rare up until just a few years ago.

Now you practically get matched up with a female player in every other game.

Big props to Riot!

This was such a great event. It had it all, the rivalries, the storylines, the outplays, drama, etc. Glad to see the women scene playing such great valorant bringing new ideas (Juliano's yoru on pearl for example), showing great fundamentals and mechanical skill. Also, Festival is such a personality man.. loved her vibe, great event overall

The Fade and Yoru combo on pearl was so insane. This really showed the potential of Yoru and I'd love to see more Yoru in the future.

Echoing what others said: this event was so much fun! I meant to just watch G2 games out of curiosity (as I've followed them until here) but ended up watching nearly all the games. Hopefully this side of the Valorant scene keeps developing, it has plenty to show us

This tournament was wayyyy more fun then I thought it was gonna be. I’m happy that val is helping female talent and hopefully we’ll see some women in T1 play in the next few years

I previously did not really know or care about valorant Esports because I don't play the game and prefer others. However it is awesome to see women esports be taken this seriously, and seeing content like this is important. Great job!

the throw by SR was insane lmao some of the swing rounds they lost is not because the other team was better; but because they simply crumbled mentally.

Still think separating male and female in videogames makes no sence...

I'm excited to watch the development in women's esports. whether it merges with regular esports or stays in its own lane, the future is exciting. we have insanely talented young women in valorant and I can't wait to see them reach their full potential later on. this is something that more orgs and medias need to get in on

I loved Valorant Game Changers Championship. I was so disappointed when VCT ended (great tournament) and hearing the announcement of this tournament sure it got me excited but I didn't know what to expect. From following the main tournament so much I didn't know many of the team and I didn't expect much from it. Boy was I wrong. The production of this tournament was just about as flawless as the main event's and Shopify Rebellion won a place in my heart even though I never had heard of them before. Loved it.

For all the people commenting that “women are just bad” or “why can’t they all play in the same league”.

It’s about providing women the space and opportunity to play at a competitive level where they feel safe. They may not be good enough to play alongside the tier 1 male only teams right now but it’s about providing them a safe space to be able to develop, being salaried so they can put everything into Valorant and not have to work another job to pay bills and giving them the opportunity to have a competitive, structured scene so that one day there aren’t the boundaries of entry like there has been in the past

I was cheering for Team Liquid, and I'm proud they got third place, and DAMN, that was Sondering Time they suffered on lower finals that led them to third, but everyone did great- can't wait for Game Changers 2023
