Not for noobs i guess. A little expensive. Well it still depends on the rider mentality. Some noobs learn faster though. 16 y/o single noob might think differently compared to 30 y/o married noob.

Why is it that we always see construction going on in Cleveland but these damn roads just keep getting worse?

did someone really ask you that?!
Common mistake new riders do is stalling bike in an unbalanced position. Do you think its easy not to drop that stalled 540 lb bike?

Hey cyclecruza I need new tires for my dual sport... there are TO MANY CHOICES!!! Give me some advice man. Also take a look at the 125cc super ninja or venom x22 they are full size bikes for less then 2k

I started up with a F800R. no regrets, whoever says starts small and go big should just let people do what ever they want to do :)

I missed the wr. Nice to see it on the streets again

Don’t anyone kid themselves, the Ducati is too powerful for a starter bike. Get a cheap, light, slow bike to learn on and upgrade in a year or two. The 250 dual sport is plenty. Or a ninja 250 or cbr 250r.

Why would you even think a noob would consider buying a ducati as a first bike. Come on dude get real.

It's pretty expensive for a first time bike. A lot of less powerful cruisers are just as heavy as the Ducati, but they aren't as expensive. Even a 600 superbike is too powerful for a newbie, and the duo-sport bikes have such a high seat height, as to make them easy to drop.

I’m 37 and a pretty mature person by any measure. And I do have experience with dirt bikes on trails but I’m looking at the Diavel as my 1st road bike. I’m single with no kids so I’ve got money burning a hole in my pocket and I just adore the Diavel 1260S. Thanks for the video my friend I’ve been looking to hear an opinion about the Diavel as a first. Most video about first bikes all recommend these sports bikes for young and small people im 6 foot 2 inches and 230lbs….. I need something like the Diavel that I can be comfortable on and I’ll just stay in urban mode for a long time until I’ve gotten in sync withe the bike and comfortable on the road.

Nice vid - although you ended up talking about the WR250 more than the Ducati. What does that tell you? Given the choice of those two I'd take that WR250 all day long.

What a pleasant surprise to see the WR getting some love when I expected to see the Ducati again! I took my klx for a nice spin up here in Mich over the weekend. Just trying to be like Cycle Cruza winter warrior!

Yeah I hear ya Cruza, the old saying money talks bullsh**t walks. As a returning biker after 20 years I did what any average cheapo would buy. I bought a DR 650! I got the sales people to give me a discount since I bought it last year on memorial day. So for 6k new it was a good deal and I do have fun with it and it can go off road as well. Also it is easy to ride. And to my surprise it does handle well on the parkways. Sure if I had the bucks to drop it would be a no brainer getting an Fnn Ducatti! Badda Bing I would slap the cash down. Oh well maybe if I start saving now 10 years from now i'll get me a XDiavel! lol

Nah, too expensive to buy, too expensive to fix/maintain, it may be easy to ride, but cost of ownership is another big part of first bike considerations. The WR250R is of course a much better choice for a new rider ;)
