I bought two stick blenders [main and backup just in case] and one was $10 at a garage sale and the other was $5 at a flea market... they work just fine for me!

I made 34 lb loaf of unscented goats milk the other day. Took 2 days before it was firm enough for me to unmold and cut. Love watching your videos!!!

Don’t make your life more complicated than it has to be... thank you for that! I’ve always felt like I needed to do all the fancy soaps that everyone else does, even though I like the simple and rustic ones. I’m not wasting anymore time on all that. Just going to do my hot process rustic soaps and simple cold process that I like. Love your videos.

I've learned more from watching your videos about soap making then any other soap maker !! Your no nonsense, direct way of making soap, makes more sense to me. Other soap makers scared the hell out of me and put me off for years until I seen your lye video. Thank you !!

Been a big fan of you, and honestly when I was first getting into soap I was so overwhelmed from the other soap maker channel's and watching you being down to earth about it really helped me along. I made my first swirl today and I'm so thankful for your channel because in my mind it was the one that made me take the leap. I will gladly sub to your other channel.
Thank you for being you Uncle Jon

Hello uncle Jon, I'm a new subscriber and want to start making soap. I really love your: Just Makes Sense" attitude Adjustment and not making bath time smell like my kitchen dinner and deserts!
Thanks for tips, the ideas and suggestions. I'm learning a lot from you, I really feel like you are my trusty uncle for advice! You're my answered prayers for doing this. I have cancer and issues because of it, doctors and testing appointments to get to, and this is something that I can do yet put aside when I can't do! "My rabbit tracks" LoL
Anyway, just thanks for sharing and being you! :)
Blessings always 🙏😃🥳

I make most of our soap just for us and a few close friends and family members. They're always so impressed that I do this! You know because of the lye. Uhhhh, yeah, just pay attention and no kids around. I make hot process and cold process depending on how soon I need more soap! I'm a potter too, so I make a few soap dishes for gifts with soap. A potter needs lots of soap! LOL

Thank you for another great video! I make a Lumber Jack soap in my men's line - I use a blend of Fragrance oils Fire Side and Frasier Fir - sells like crazy!

Love your Cedar Lodge shaving cream. It doesn't agitate my face at all. I could imagine it would for some. It's like walking through a pine forest. My first girlfriend's parents' back forty was all pine. Takes me back. Thanks for making the soap.

Cool! I never thought of adding a lumberjack soap to my line. Something to think about. 🤔

I like your videos - straight to the point and informative. Your lack of goggles/glasses and gloves however does concern me when you are mixing your lye solution - I'm extra careful when mixing the lye solution, but I've had small splashes and spillage here and there and was glad to have that protection on.

I LOVE the simplicity of your work uncle Joe!! 🥰 some soap or make soapmaking look like some sort of scientific project and so intimidating that it’s almost discouraging to the new folks coming out, but you lay like it is. Be careful and Don’t be stupid 😁

So nice!! Thank you for posting so often these days! I make quite a similar soap, only I add juniper berry EO too (although I am not sure if it makes a huge difference as the scent is similar to Fir)

Thanks for the tips. I was just wondering if I could add some goats milk to replace some of the water ? Plus add a sentence oils?

Hey Uncle Jon…..with adding EO to the soap recipe, are they diluted in oil? Did you make or purchase? Thanks. I’m new and trying to figure it out before I even start😂😂😂
