Nigel Farage has said he will spend weeks next year as a warm-up speaker for Donald Trump’s campaign rallies, as he stared down the barrel of yet another wipeout of his party at a general election.

Mr Farage, who was absent from campaign events on Thursday, was asked by the BBC’s Andrew Neil if he would travel to America to act as a warm-up speaker at Donald Trump rallies, as is rumoured.
