When a smaller club in Norway beats you impressively while playing a similar style of football, and you then have a vacancy for manager, there’s a very obvious, and cost effective, choice…

A fair assessment from the 67HailHail team.

As a celtic fan I've been fortunate enough to see great celtic managers and their teams.

There was something different when Ange swept into town.

It was a successful route and branch reform of the whole playing ethos of the club.

I didn't expect he'd take the Spurs job, but he did and I was emotional. I'll never get emotional over another celtic manager/coach.

It'll always be celtic football club, the players and us. HH

In typical verbose fashion, here comes my final post. THANK YOU MATES! thank you for the memories, thank you for the vids, the insights, the realness, for being a pretty decent human, and helping me through two knee recos in the last 18 months... its been a true pleasure. Sitting on the couch for that long, Ive religiously watched every one of your vids often twice a day, youre a good show and Ill stay pretty much watching only yours in the future, and Rhino118 qnd c fans tv post match.

Was never really a soccer fan, but youve made me a diehard celtic fan and now Tottenham. Didnt really like Stevie to begin with and now love the bloke. Take care and all the best, I have no doubt you guys are destined for bigger things. Just bought your book on kindle Hamo. Cheers.

Stevie is spot on about BR I think he is average at best, take a chance on the man from Norway it'll be more exciting

As much as I was p****d off at Rodgers for leaving the way he did, I would take him back. He’s the best of the runners and we need to keep our foot on Rangers’ throat. Get behind him.

What has BR actually achieved in the premier league? He threw away winning the title with Liverpool and consistently missed out on champions league qualification with Leicester. So in short he won one FA cup! Bad recruitment record and absolutely tactically clueless when Celtic played in Europe!

Knutsen would be an excellent appointment.

Ange improved players but so did Rodgers. Despite misgivings about him returning the potential for him improving the team further is real. Brown, CalMac, Tierney, Rogic etc all inproved massively....

Knutsen would be the best placed to continue playing angeball. We have a whole squad bought to play that style.

Thanks John and Stevie. Great to see you both & get your views on the current situation. Didn't disappoint. I agree 100% Stevie that I will never get emotionally attached to a manager again. I can't stand Rodgers ( have never liked him) & was having panic attacks at the thought of him returning but i will back whoever gets the job. Knutsen my 1st choice and I'm not budging lol. Glad John brought up the fact again that there will be no drop down to Europa after next season. This is why i don't like the new format! Europa win is a realistic possibility for us . Anyway i just want Celtic back asap as i am a wreck without them

Ive been sitting in the fence with Rodger’s getting appointed since he was linked but the more I think about it the more I sway towards welcoming him back yeah he left under a cloud but that cloud was a penny pinching board wouldn’t give him money to spend let’s just hope they don’t make the same mistake

Bring back Brendan now 💪🏻🍀

Not a fan a Rodgers getting it for several reasons:
His teams always seem to start really with a bang and then whimper out the longer he's there. Suggests he is a one trick pony.
Many ex players can't stand him. His golden boys usually love him but his ego seems to disrupt the squad. Especially over time.
His signings are atrocious, with a few clear exceptions.
The Dembele situation where he apparently tried to get him to go to China with him then started badmouthing him when he asked for a move that was good for him. May not be true, but I believe it.
He really burned us last time. He could have shown a little loyalty and saw out the season, but took the first half decent prem job that came his way.

Good commentary from John and Stevie. But how will the current team fit rogers ball?

I have never been fickle. I am a realist and I dont think Rogers will have the fans behind him which is a critical issue. Will Rogers build in what Ange built? He can not start changing the kind of football Ange built!!!!

I have absolutely no confidence in Rodgers. Not the way he left, but look what he’s just done to Leicester! It’s been a good while since he was here and things have clearly changed!

They are saying Kyogo is going as well, it is a lot of money not to take, is it happening ?
