even TCS gave 1% increment this year for C band, 4% for B band and i guess 6% for A! Not lying many of my friends received 100 rs increment thats all!

The top management takes a big chunk of money as well as YoY hike without any compromise. It is only the freshers and low designation employee that are made to suffer in most of such organizations

Do u ppl even know how fast Vietnam, Phillipines r exponential growing in IT where u can hire full stack experienced dev at fractional cost of India..
Main reason company's outsourcing is to save cost.. if ppl here think 25L is OK and 45L is good.. they no longer get any benefit..
Companies like infy have more managers than developer.. spm, gpm have hefty packages and billing rates.. it must be made into proper tech company like Elon did to Twitter...
Also unimaginable firing across the world going on.. but.
Ppl here r like horses.. need promotion, hike bla bla...

Everything is demand vs supply. I dont understand the criticism here. If the supply for your skills is high, salaries will be low. True for a potato price and true for it engineer as well

2.5L per annum received as starting salary in 2006 by BE passed out. Its 18 years since. Its very low.
2002 to 2006, BE tuition fees was 50k per annum and if students were meritorious then it was 16k per annum, its in a college under Anna university.

I feel today generation is facing the most challenge as every job skill is getting saturated either globally or locally.
Need to study or get trained in lucrative technology is the key for them to sustain
