Nintendo Super Famicom Classic Edition Mini Unboxing!

The Super Famicom Mini is finally available for sale in Japan! (More below!)

Released on October 5, 2017 it is the follow up to the Famicom Classic Edition released last year. This version included 21 games from the 16-bit heyday and fixes everyone’s biggest gripe over the Famicom Mini, and that is full size detachable controllers! The SFC mini Follows the western version which was released on September 29th. Wait! Something is coming out in America first? That can't be!

Just got mine today. I lucked out on a preorder raffle last week. I totally dropped the ball on the SFC-style New 3DS (didn't preorder in time, even though they didn't sell so quickly), so I was happy to get one of these.

I got a PAL one, but it's such a thoughtless port, it's just the US version, US box art and half the games were never even released in Europe, so it's had to consider them "classics".

I'm glad someone has done a unboxing of the Japanese model. I've got a Euro Super Nintendo Mini myself, but I'm just as excited to get a hold of my Super Famicom Mini. I just love the box art on the Japanese model :)

Lol i walked today into biccamera to checkout some stuff for my friends, and the emplyees were shouting the snes mini was available, so there i go took a ticket and got it for 7400 yen, or something, there was a promo when you pay with MC 400 waribiki and the gaijin tax free, awesome! The japanese were buying it for about 8600.

Stumbled onto a Classic SNES at a WalMart one morning before Christmas. They had gotten 3 more in and had just put them out on the shelf 10 minutes before I got there. Wife and I were just there for some grocery shopping and decided to check. Snatched one up.

I'm really glad that Europe kept the Japanese design for the Snes. I actually managed the get one of these mini consoles this time.

Hi, great video. I live in Japan and am thinking of ordering one of these. I know it's a long shot, but did there happen to be any language settings included in the menu? For most games it won't be an issue playing in Japanese, but for things like final fantasy it might be tricky... Thanks in advance!
