it's interesting how bandit in the end of the episode says "oh look, it's a love heart" implies he is not seeing the fairy 0_0

I always thought the fairie magic was Bingo acting out, and I loved the message that a parent can apologize when they hurt a kids feelings, regardless of the situation at hand. Bandit saw her acting out because he upset her, and it’s so sweet how he makes a complete fool of himself to make up for it. I’m always so blown away by the real Easter eggs they put in regarding Australian culture and pop culture. That’s why Bluey is top notch!

I think it is incredibly important to teach children by showing and doing yourself. I think bandit apologizing to bingo will inevitably teach both children that it is okay to show their emotions, and also apologize for hurting someone elses. As far as faeries existing in the bluey universe, (and frankly our own) is that they are as real as santa claus, as in they are a spirit of a concept and the actions you do for others is where the faeries exist. So i believe that both the faeries and bandit set up the love heart 🫶

This whole episode feels so Ghibli-esque mixed with lots of humor and silliness, the episode ending reminded me a little bit of My Neighbor Totoro and how Mei finds the forest spirits. And it is fascinating to think if the fairies were real or if it was just a really extravagant game.

I agree, I feel this episode is one of the magical ones where its okay to believe in things and its okay for parents to apologize. He apologizes in “The Weekend” for something he had no control over. Not because he did wrong but its more important about how they feel. Kids are still kids and a lot of us are trying not to give them any part of our burdens as adults. Some things or parts of our moods or struggles is safe but not to take away their childhood because they have to manage us. Their emotions and feelings are important too. I feel this and “Weekend” help deliver this point whole heartedly. I almost cry every time Bingo says “goodbye” to the “walking leaf”. Its so genuine, wholesome and wholeheartedly done.❤

In regards to the cricket bat, someone mentioned that maybe it actually says “INIC9”, and if so the only thing i could find was a stalactite in the US that was researched and labelled US-INIC9. This would possibly tie into Bandit (and Joe Brumm’s brother) being an archaeologist.

I love this episode. It is important as a parent, to apologize to our children if we hurt their feelings. They are people too, and deserve our love and respect.

I think it’s important for parents to apologize when they hurt their children even on accident. They have feelings just the same and they don’t understand why mom or dad yelled they didn’t know they did anything wrong. By not apologizing and trying to be the “big bad parent” you are teaching them not to come to you or trust you with things. Communication is so important for young kids learning to navigate the world and social situations. It’s the job of the parent to teach them not through fear of getting in trouble but through communication.

My theory is that Bandit did fix up the heart, but the fairy came to help to finish the last piece he missed, so it really can leave it interpreted for whoever wants to see the theme of the episode is. I love this episode alot.

I personally believe that it’s very important for parents to acknowledge a child’s feelings. Just because they’re young doesn’t mean that their feelings are invalid. Was Bandit in the right for not dropping everything to cater to Bingo in that moment? Absolutely. He was busy with an important phone call. But at the same time his reaction hurt her feelings. Having the insight to recognize that and apologize for it is important. Children’s feelings are too often brushed off. Most people just shrug and go oh they’ll get over it or they’ll understand someday. But that kind of thing can stick with a child all the way into adulthood. Especially if it happens repeatedly.

13:00 an archaeologist studies ancient human history; paleontologists study the ancient past, so the dinosaur trace fossil would actually fall on paleontology, not archaeology. it's a common misconception heh

This is one of THOSE episodes for me... know what I mean? one of the episodes that seem to have touched a very sensitive area within me that I didn't know was there. I've felt like Bingo oh so many times and just seeing the effort Bandit puts on making right on his daughter's eyes makes me teary in a therapeutic way. It almost feels like it's my parents talking to my younger self.

I feel they exist, faeries are an important part of Irish andand Scottish culture, just Celtic in general... I also like to think there is magic in this adorable cartoon and that calypso is magic of some sort maybe even a druid (although she is an Australian breed)

Ok ok i’ve been wanting to say this for a while.
At the end of the episode, bandit goes, “it’s a love heart” implying that he doesn’t see the fairy that bingo clearly sees. It reminds me a lot of the ending scene in the polar express, where the parents clearly cannot hear the sleigh bell ring, saying, “oh, it’s broken” whereas the kids, yes, both of them, CAN hear it. The little girl is already known to fully believe in santa, and of course the whole story was the boy learning to believe in santa and the magic of christmas. Somewhere in the movie too i think it’s said that only those who truly believe in the magic can hear the bells, explaining why the boy couldn’t hear them until towards the end of the movie. Back to bingo, she does in fact say that one has to look for fairies with one’s heart. A parallel to having to believe in the magic of Christmas to hear the sleigh bells. The fact that bandit does not acknowledge the presence of a fairy implies that he cannot see it. A parallel to the parents in the movie. So if you ask me, i think there IS magic in this world. And at this point, it’s common knowledge that children see things that adults can’t see.
It’s one of those things that makes me sad about being right in the middle of going from child to adult. Screw Highschool! I wanna be a carefree child again! I don’t wanna be worried about grades and social acceptance, i wanna go to the park and run around in the brush! I wanna go down to the creek! What is this?! I didn’t sign up for this crap! >:(
But honestly, I think that this episode is more about the magic that comes with being a child, and that most of the time, adults just can’t see or feel that anymore.

MARGIE, I have a Theory of how Bingo sees the Pixie, but Bandit doesn’t.

Let me quickly do some context.

So every weekend, me and my friend Kerry & Sapphire go to Haunted Places in NZ. Mainly local or a bit far out.

We’ve done it since I was 11 (2020, but only sometimes cause of the Pandemic) but then over the years we started opening ourselves to the other side. Meaning more investigations etc etc.

What does this have to do with Bingo? Well, at little beings, some little kids from age 2-5 can kinda sense things like Spirits.

Same as animals like dogs, they can sense things that their owner can’t see.

Literally last week Kerry, and I were at Sapphires house.

We were all talking on her bed, and her dog looked up high at the door, got on the bed and his fur on his back was standing up. As if he saw something.

And spirits are known for being up high, and that creeped us the f— out

Maybe it’s the same with Bingo, she can see something, but no one else can.

Margie? Opinion?

I forgot the curse you from finding Nemo, I took it more as a reference to Phineas and Ferb with curse you perry the platypus. Farries isn't my favorite episode but it's still a fun one to watch and it's enjoyable

pretty sure it's just normal nutella bc the dogs in bluey can defiantly eat chocolate being as it's bandit's favourite ice cream flavor

I am perfectly OK with the idea that Bandit reset the dominos and Bingo is just being her imaginative self. But the childlike whimsy of Bluey makes me want to think that yes, Bingo is seeing a real fairy and magic does exist within this universe. And with all the layers this show has to it already, this one little extra aspect would hardly feel out of place.

I know that feeling Bingo. I believe it's no one's fault. Kids are just too Innocent and they get too excited and can't wait any longer. Bandit should just put the phone down and tell Bingo to just wait for bit. With no shouting
