Not to say anything bad about grid supports, but this does not look like an apples to apples comparison.
It would have been good to see the difference in spacing and what-not on the model itself. When you're weighing the supports it looks like you're comparing your custom thinner supports with the default thicker supports. That's fine, but I don't see the grid difference

Awesome video. As of this week the prepare tab no longer shows the tool bars, I can can rotate the camera view with the mouse there is no way of placing the support, I have to use the task manager to close the program. I have uninstalled then installed a older version and the problem is still the same. I really don't want to have to learn or pay for a new slicer subscription. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Hey! I've been noticing with using grid supports a ton I'm getting slight ghosting on my PFA where the grid is. It hasn't seemed to be problematic and this film has quite a few hours on it. I've been considering I need to shift my parts more to ensure they're not starting from the same location every time.
