How to add Passengers to a Model Train | Simple Modification Tips and Tricks | Fun & Easy Project

In this video we show you how to add passengers to an O-Gauge Lionel New York Central Grand Central Express model train. We show you tip and tricks for handling and opening a passenger car and how to select the best size of passengers for your train. We show you how to install the figures and discuss the best choice of glue and best location for each passenger. Then we take the train for a run on our layout.

Good suggestion to use slightly smaller figures from york, 50 for $20. It adds up for our 6 cars passenger sets. Just starting to landscape our new trainboard and with so much to learn and do, it can be overwhelming. So quick little projects give a good feeling of making progress. Thanks.

Some of the passenger car interior seating is not capable of taking a passenger without cutting the legs off the passenger. I bought the bag of seated passengers from MTH and I called them up and told them they should cast them in flesh colored plastic instead of gray plastic and that would make them easier to paint. Passenger train in the steam era we're usually full with up to 90 passengers in a car. Passenger cars with interior she come with passengers straight from the factory to save you the trouble of having to put them in there. When I bought my first MTH subway car train set it cost me more to fill it up with the life-like figures and what I paid for the train itself.
