A follow on from my first tenor lesson on basic first chords in GDAD tuning. Chords G, D, A & Bm but this time in another position. Then see how effective it is to mix them up for dynamics when playing with others or as a stand alone instrument.

If you like this and want to learn more, then please comment below and ask me anything you like.

Also please take a look at my work using the tenor guitar, which I use in a modern folk style.

As an Irish bouzouki play I’ve learned so much from your videos. Thanks so much

I was having so much trouble with GDAE tuning. This GDAD tuning has opened up my playing and ability to express a wider range of emotions. Thank you for posting these lessons.

I’m a tenor ukulele player (GCEA) but looking to begin tenor guitar. This video is certainly inspiring me right now! Thank you!

Hi Mike thanks for the video's. Do you think this is the best tuning for tenor guitar. I'm using Chicago tuning, do you think the tuning you use is more flexible and easier for a novice to learn?

Thanks Mike, these are really helping my understanding, not only of tenor, but other instrument tunings and chords. Hope to see more. Thanks!

This is great Mike. I'm new to tenor guitar (play mandolin and 6-string guitar). This just what I need and this is my favorite tuning. Thanks so much.

Hi Mike, I have been given a beautiful old tenor guitar and i have found your videos really interesting. I've fitted some new strings but I'm really worried about breaking something a I tune up. Where are these GDAD notes on a normal guitar fretboard? Thank you

Thanks Mike for posting! What’s the white noise that keeps fading in and out? I noticed it on your first tenor guitar post as well.

Hi Mike I would love to see more. I play GDAE based around fiddle tunes. To just drop one string to D and have a beautiful droning sound is awesome. Subbed 🎶

Thank you so much for sharing! You just persuaded me to try GDAD on my Tele Tenor and see how it goes :) Keep 'em coming! (also, I noticed the HB tenor in the back, my precious <3)
