Chevy Chase looking at Milton Berle thinking "Not only am I going to be big star. I'm going to be even more insufferable than you."

J.K. Simmons and Corey Michael Smith frightenly looked the part and blew me away by how much they became the actors they were portraying!

Matt Rhys does one hell of a Carlin voice. It's actually kinda creepy how good he is.

"I once had 97% of America's TV viewing audience"

Not quite as impressive when you remember that at the time, there were only like 3 TV channels

JK Simmons is one of those guys who never mails it in, whether it be appearances on television in Law & Order or paycheck projects like Terminator: Genesys, and he’s never boring.

Whenever I’m discussing his films with fellow movie-buffs, it’s nearly impossible for me to not refer to him as “the Great JK Simmons”.

Kudos to the guy playing Carlin! To me, he nails his mannerisms, voice, and sarcasm.

I thought this was a real clip of Milton Berle when I clicked on it. I was thinking, I never realized how much Milton Berle looks like JK Simmon's. 😂😂😂😂

When Berle died, he received an absolute minimum of media coverage despite his previous fame. Apparently not well regarded by many.

Carlin was so coked up when this exchange happened that he had major regrets later in life. Particularly when SNL would celebrate so many major anniversaries without him, and without any mention of him. I guess he really got under the skin of Mr Lorne, who evidently enacted a ban on George. Chevy never really got into the cocain so much, but he did love him some alcohol, and in 1978, he and Bill Murray actually traded punches in John Belushi's dressing room. As a fan of both guys and of the SNL show, I find the background stories facinating. Chevy, aka Cornelius Crane Chase, has a particularly interesting wikipedia page. His mother's family first lived in New York in the year 1624!

Uncle Miltie just swinging it around wherever he goes.

Well, this explains why Carlin just appears three times doing stand up and was a part of none of the sketches in the first show.

“ponytailed vulture feeding off the corpse of Lenny Bruce” is my favourite insult of last year.

It's the background music that gets me the tempo is so good for this scene

Nobody remembers Milton Berle in this day and age, but everyone's seen _National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation._

I’d love to have a George Carlin biopic someday. Maybe have this guy play him because he sounds just like George

A precursor to Milton later hosting what is considered the worst episode of SNL's first five years in 1979.
