Santa delivers early for the Sabres and their fans. Congrats, Sabres.

After this win the Sabres go on a 15 game winning streak and win the Stanley cup at the end of the season.

Must have been a relief for the Sabres to snap the losing streak before Christmas break.

The futility streak finally ended. Wonderful.

Lindy Ruff probably has a lot of traumatic memories of games vs. the Islanders from his playing days, so it's fair his team breaks their winless streak on Long Island.

You can't fault the Islanders for this... they ran into an absolute juggernaut in the Buffalo Sabres. 😂

Tank for hagans, he’s from Long Island and grew up an islanders fan

Say all you want about the losing streak but at least Buffalo didn't let it get out of hand by stopping it at 13. They drew the line at 14 and was able to keep some dignity. Merry Christmas Sabres fans.

I feel for Sabres fans. Year after year of failure with no answers. Managers, coaches, executives; all came and went but still more of the same. I’m wondering if this might have to do with ownership getting too involved behind the scenes.

And now the Sabres management is gonna act like we didn’t lose 13 in a row and think the fans are perfectly okay with this team still

Jiri Kulich, the one bright spot for the Sabre's this year!

The first goal would’ve been called back if we were playing Toronto 100%

Sabers looked like they were on a 13 game winning streak there

Massive congrats to Buffalo, it was getting massively repetitive with all them losses NYIs bt the Leafs in Toronto & just a few days later lose to a dozen on the bounce losers the Sabres? Hockey makes no sense at times!

Islanders fans just remember

Your not the rangers right now

Well at least we now know that we won't be breaking the all time losing streak record. At least that is something to celebrate 🥳! New York hockey is just soooo bad all around this season. As New Yorkers we went from the extreme highs of the Rangers winning the Presidents trophy and making it to the ECF... meanwhile the Sabres made an unexpected strong run at the end of the season that gave us a ton of hope for this year... to now the lowest of lows with the Rangers looking like they won't even MAKE the playoffs after coming into the season as a legit top 4 Cup contender, and now also getting happy just because the Sabres snapped an insanely long losing streak. MAKE NY HOCKEY GREAT AGAIN!

Leave it to the Islanders to snap a massive losing streak. What an epic disaster. I was at the game and for the second time this season, I left a game early.
