The best way to consume a Blizzard is to eat them in the car. Extra points for that!

When my Australian friend visited America for the first time, I took him to DQ and he had his very first blizzard. We travelled down to Mexico from Michigan and stopped every day at a DQ so he could have his Blizzard.

Dairy Queen is massively underrated as far as fast food goes.

Growing up in small town America in the 1980's and 1990's riding your bike up to the local Dairy Queen to get a Blizzard was just an every day part of American life. Glad you got to experience it!

My favorite Blizzard is the Reese's cups. Atlanta is right, if the server turns the Blizzard upside down and it falls out of the cup, you get it free. It's a DQ policy!

you 2 raised your kids very well, those 2 are great kids . Atlanta is an amazing cook . Denzi is a little comedian .

For those that may not be totally aware, here is the "official" blurb about the upside-down blizzard rule: Employees were instructed to serve Blizzards upside down, or they were free. They were able to do this because of the weight, texture, and composition of the Blizzard. While this rule only applied to participating locations, many stores adopted the policy permanently.

I guess I was one of the first humans to have a Dairy Queen Blizzard nearly 40 years ago now. As I understand it the Dairy Queen franchise is actually older than Mc Donalds. Back when they began, they didn't sell hamburgers though. When some locations began to offer hamburgers, to distinguish them for customers driving by, these locations were called "Dairy Queen Braizer." That just meant that this location had all the soft-serve AND a grill.... But one of my first jobs out of high-school was working at Dairy Queen, and I was there when the Blizzard was first launched. To showcase just how thick a Blizzard was -- as opposed to a "thick" shake -- we had to turn every Blizzard up-side-down before handing it to the customer. The people who came to our store to teach us how to make the product were not simply district We had an early launch, this would have been about 1984 as I recall.

Dairy Queen is where my parents took my my sister and I all the time in the 70's. Blizzards and Banana Splits are very good!

Growing up, after our dinner and chores my parents would take us to get a blizzard. We would just drive around while we ate them, soaking up the AC in the car (we didn't have air conditioning in our house). Great memories made. Butterfinger all the way for me.

The Butterfinger Blizzard is my favorite

As a natural born American, seeing you guys experience a DQ Blizzard for the first time warms my heart.

Also, sidenote: it doesn't matter who ended up with what, it's a Blizzard, everybody wins! Love you guys!

Now I'm going to have to look up my relative's name (Herb Klavohn) who helped make the ice cream mix as the first employee of the national Dairy Queen Company. He probably had no idea how widespread and popular it would become, but it did not take long. Pretty neat.

Before the Blizzard existed I always ordered their Peanut Buster Parfait as a kid, and their Buster Bar is their frozen version of that on a stick.

DQ Ice Cream Cake is amazing. Always our pick for all our family birthdays. Blizzards are peak dessert, and Reeces Peanut Butter Cup is the best.

I worked at a Dairy Queen the summer between high school and college. We invented our own ice cream concoctions. Fun summer.

I would be rolling in the parking lot with brain freeze eating ice cream that fast...😮

I'll never take blizzards for granted again. I do love them and there are such good memories of the kids with them.
