Moog's Muse is the first big release under the new management of inMusic - its an analogue 8 voice poly with 2 oscillators (+ a mod oscillator that can be a 3rd) 3 additional LFOs, twin ladder filters, two ADSRs, sequencer and arpeggiator, dual Diffusion Delay , 16 slot Mod Map.

The electronics have roots in the Voyager / Matriarch and vintage modules to give it plenty of Moog history.

It's also  bi-timbral with split or layer options.

Available now,  priced at £2999 /$3499

Can't afford it, but can afford Nick's review :)

Love your reviews Nick. Many years ago Sonicstate was the first synth review YT channel I subscribed to.

This is how you review a synth. Zero fluff in those 37 minutes 👌 Also, Moog really managed to combine great sound, UI design and features in this one - nice!

I asked one of the programmers to create a Muse patch similar to my favorite Memorymoog patch, (#71 String 8). The Muse gets closer to that patch than any other synth I've owned. It definitely has that Moog "Mojo".

Heading into the studio later to install 1.3.0 firmware. Looks like a really good update that shapes up some of the crusty edges around latency and such. I love this machine so much!

There is a lot of hate in the comments!!! Thanks for the video 🎉 If it sounds good to you, buy it. I know price is important, but don’t let it limit you. These are instruments, meaning they should be bought only if they inspire you. Price is secondary

At first, the moog muse is ticking all the boxes.

Slight correction at 3:13: the oscillators are based on VOYAGER oscillators NOT those from the Grandmother or Matriarch

The double filter setup is a really nice thing to have, I think the 50/50 sequential-moog sound of the Trigon might suit my tastes more, but this does sound really great and seems able to a lot more, and has two voices more!
We're spoilt for choice aren't we...

Make sure you get the 1.3 firmware. Frustrating to play prior to that...

Nicky Batt is the ONLY one allowed to call them MEWG.

I got to play with one in guitar center last month, it was fun, but maybe not my thing. Very cool synth, but I just didn’t jive with it as much as I’d hoped. Really appreciate your review. No offense to your collaborators, but I am subscribed to this channel to see Nick doing in-depth synth reviews.

Probably one of the best synth releases in recent years. Perhaps even go as far to say a future Moog classic.
