How I Color Grade my Raw Photos with Adobe Lightroom / Camera Raw

In this tutorial I’m going through my personal color grading process using #Adobe #Light (or Camera Raw).

Below you'll find affiliates links to gear I personally use every day when photographing. These are products I believe in.

For the color grading I don’t like to do everything at once, but instead spread it over the whole editing process from start to finish. The first step of it usually begins with the adjustment of the white balance. Here you can set the mood, whether you want a warm or cold looking photo. This is followed by the adjusting of the saturation.
With the HSL tab you can do way more specific changed to every color of the photo. Here, I like to adjust saturations and try to remove unnecessary color tones. With the luminance you simply adjust the brightness of the chosen color. I usually use this setting to darken the sky (dropping the blue luminance). Meanwhile the hue tab is used to change the appearance of colors, so you could turn green into yellow / orange.
My favorite part is by far the split toning section. This is especially helpful when working on sunset / sunrise images to make the warm colors pop and just give the whole image a much more vibrant look!
