Great video on these lenses. Next week I will use my K1 and K70 with wide angle lens to capture this possible new meteor shower May30-31. I just need clear sky’s and to drive away from the light pollution. Wish me luck. I tried for the lunar eclipse a few weeks ago but got clouded out. Maybe this event will work out.

Lee, thank you for your top 10 list. When a photographer friend saw that I have an old Ricoh XR-2s SLR 35 mm camera with old glass, he suggested that I get a Pentax K-1 Mark II to use the manual K-mount lenses. I bought a K-1 Mk II body with a HD Pentax-FA 1:2 35mm to use with my XR Rikenon F2 50mm and Rikenon P Zoom F4 28-100mm Macro manual lenses. My budget will not allow me to add your top 10, but I could use help in deciding where to fill in my inventory with lenses to round out my collection. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Nice top ten list, Lee. My top 3 for K-1, Zeiss 35mm f2 Distagon ZK, Pentax HD DFA 50mm f1.4 SDM AW and SMC Takumar 85mm f1.8 w/adapter. For the K-3 iii, Pentax HD DA 20-40mm f2.8-4, Sigma 70mm f2.8 DG Macro, Pentax HD DA 55-300mm f4.5-6.3 PLM

these cameras were a legit choice in 2010-2012 and I bought them. K-01 and K5 / K5 II. Today, I still use the K-01 in studio, but see no reason to continue investing in the system. I shoot Nikon DSLR. I still have the DA 50 and 35 for studio use. They are not really viable tools in the field for anyone but EXTREME value hunters. Even then, you can buy into better Canon and Nikon systems for FAR less than Pentax. Sad to say as I oved the system while it was viable.

Interesting note about the Tamron 90mm, it is actually works as a Fx lens. I tried that on the K1 in both full and APC crop with
excellent results. Unfortunately in crop it's only about 16 meg.

My top 3 would be:

1) F* 300/F4.5
2) A* 200/F4 Macro
3) FA* 600/F4

I still have these old glass and they are my main nature lenses.

That insulation needs covering very harmful as it looks like glass fibre.
