You are correct to an extent. Super light arrow with a slow bow will get you in trouble sometimes with shots that require a little more penetration like a quartering shot . If all you shot is 20 yard perfect broadside shots and will let that 10 point buck of your dreams walk because you didn’t have the exact perfect shot that shoot whatever you want. There is a balance between the super heavy arrows people and the super light people. Super heavy arrows will drop more over a shorter distance and require more compensation. Lighter arrows don’t penetrate so find the middle ground.

That's just simply not true. I've shot both light arrows and heavier arrows (nothing crazy) with 200 gr up front and get much better penetration. I've also had mechanicals fail on me. Definitely agree that shot placement is number 1 but we're also shooting at live animals that can do crazy things.

I agree that shot placement matters, but to say total arrow weight and FOC does not matter when years of scientific and analytical data prove that it does, makes this Youtube short of yours not matter.

No way I’m using a shaft that requires any out sert sleeve whatever. Standard diameter shafts have worked just fine in all my many years.
