This short video gives a high-level overview of the two leading photogrammetry software applications in the UAS industry. Although one software is chosen by more companies than the other, both are proving to be a good choice. Depending on the needs of the consumer, either program may prove to be a good choice. As the founder of GM6 Solutions, I am 100% sold on Agisoft Metashape. We have successfully processed hundreds if not thousands of maps and 3D models with it.

I did numerous tests between Photoscan and Pix4d, Photoscan is much more accurate when surveying bigger more complicated areas, I'm getting much better accuracy between GCP's (on checkpoints) The last year I've tried Metashape but with bigger areas I'm getting strange errors, so went back to Photoscan. Pix4d shows good accuracy in the report but when you do real life checks, then I'm getting bigger errors than with Agisoft. Thanks for your comparison!

Do you ever using Reality Capture? I've found it to be the quickest in overall processing + handling large datasets.

Hello, which software generates better DTM and DSM? And which one does it more easily? And in pix4d you have to classify points to get the DTM? Thank you

What is your desktop setup? I have a job with almost 10k photos and pix4d is melting my PC. Never used agisoft but may have to try it.

I have the impression of finding a PC comparison between AMD and INTEL or AMD and NVIDIA : Make your choice ;) .And what is your PC hardware for this test ? I think these two softwares perform very well with responsive developer teams. Your study will motivate engineers to go even further and make this software ever faster and more efficient. 2cm is pretty good. That's about what RTK GPS can do. Maybe it's really GPS inaccuracy you are looking at. Or your pixel resolution.
