The MisEducatioN of Gen Z is a short documentary that explores the multiple layers of masculinity and what it means to be a man in today’s society. It dives into the role expectations of a man, as well as what the responsibilities of these men are. We wanted to portray the difference between the younger generation and the older generation when it comes down to what makes a man a man. A lot of today’s media presents toxic masculinity as the way a man must live his life. Toxic masculinity states that men aren’t suppose to show the emotions that a woman would typically show. However, The MisEducatioN of Gen Z serves as an outlet for men to be able to share their true feelings about these traditional role expectations.
