one thing google hasn't said is that there are latency issues when pairing the audio nest to a tv via bluetooth. I've tried with mine and the lag of more than 1s makes it not viable at all. if you are looking to use them as tv speakers, DONT DO IT

Got a pair of the Nest Audios. We love them. They sound crisp and clean with good stereo separation.

I have never been able to add my Chromecast to a speaker group, so it's direct AUX jack for me. I'd love to get it going to my Max and Chromecast Audio from the record player though.

Google have always had better sound quality than Amazon equivalents IMO. I've not bought one of these yet but did try it in the shop and it sounded excellent. I have one home mini gen 2 and two home mini first gen, the gen 2 sound so much better than the originals.
